Cartoonist R K Laxman suffering from multi organ failure

Famous cartoonist R K Laxman is reported to be suffering from multi organ failure due to which he is on ventilator support.

 "Laxman is critically ill. He was admitted for urinal infection coupled with multi organ failure. We have put him on ventilator," said Dr Sameer Jog. The nonagenarian cartoonist underwent dialysis late on Saturday, maintained hospital sources.

"Laxman has had various health issues. In the past he was suffering from renal inefficiency and lung infection," said Jog.

A Magsaysay laureate, Laxman's cartoons have regaled generations since 1950s till a few years ago when he stopped drawing due to ill health.
